Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 2026
14-day refund on your first paid subscription. Cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing (Polar customer portal). Paid plans are billed by Polar as merchant of record. Where consumer law gives you a stronger right, that law applies.
1. In short
- Free trial: 30 days, no card required — nothing to refund.
- Refunds: request a full refund within 14 days of the first paid charge if you are not satisfied.
- Cancellation: cancel anytime from account billing settings. You keep access until the period you already paid for ends.
2. Free trial
The 30-day free trial does not require a payment method. Unused trial quota is not paid out. You are charged only if you start a paid plan.
3. 14-day refund policy
If this is your first paid codecafe24 subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the charge appearing on your Polar receipt. After 14 days, or after a renewal of the same plan, fees are not refunded except as in section 5 or as required by law.
We may refuse a 14-day refund if the workspace was used in a way that breaks the Terms of Service, or if we already issued a refund for that first payment.
4. Cancel anytime
Cancel from your account at any time: sign in → Dashboard → Billing → Open billing portal. That is Polar’s customer portal (payment method, cancel, invoices).
Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the current paid month or year. We do not refund unused API quota for the rest of that period, except under the 14-day rule or section 5.
5. Other refunds we honour
We will also refund or reverse a charge when:
- you were billed in error (duplicate charge, wrong plan, or a payment we could not fulfil);
- the API was unavailable for a material part of the paid period because of a fault on our side, and we cannot reasonably restore it;
- EU/UK consumer cooling-off rules apply and you ask within that legal window.
6. What we do not refund
Unless the 14-day window, section 5, or the law says otherwise:
- renewals after the first paid period;
- partial months or unused request quota after day 14;
- change of mind after the 14-day window has closed;
- accounts suspended for breach of the Terms of Service.
7. How to request a refund
Use the contact form from the email on the account. Include the Polar receipt or transaction id and whether you are asking under the 14-day policy or another reason. We aim to reply as soon as we can. Polar returns approved refunds to the original payment method.
8. Chargebacks
Ask us first so we can check the invoice. An open chargeback may pause the workspace until Polar closes the case.
